Sweetie is alive today because a few people chose to act.

Just days ago, she was sitting in a shelter, weak, emaciated, and out of time. At 9 years old, she had been abandoned by the very person who was supposed to care for her. She had spent her life tied up, neglected, and clearly not given the food or love she needed.

When her owner was done with her, he dumped her at the shelter and walked away.

And just like that, Sweetie was placed on the euthanasia list.

Not because she was aggressive.

Not because she was beyond saving.

But because she was old… and underweight.

Her life was reduced to a decision that could have ended everything.

💔 From Forgotten to Fighting

When we heard about Sweetie, we knew we couldn’t let her story end like that.

Time was not on her side. The shelter was preparing to euthanize her, and there was no guarantee we would even get the chance to step in.

But thanks to a medical donor, a committed foster who said yes, and a network that refused to give up on her, Sweetie was pulled just in time.

She walked out of that shelter with her life.

🏥 The Road to Healing

Sweetie is now safe and receiving the care she always deserved.

She is severely underweight, but she is already on her way to recovery. With proper nutrition, rest, and medical support, she is slowly regaining her strength.

And through it all, she has remained exactly who she is at her core…
