Carolina's Journey Begins: From Trauma to Hope
When Carolina arrived, the extent of her injuries was heartbreaking.
Across her back was a wound nearly 2 feet long.
After examining her, the veterinarian believes the injury is consistent with road rash, suggesting she may have been dragged across the ground. She also had a swollen face, indicating she had suffered significant trauma before she was rescued.
Whatever happened to Carolina, one thing is certain:
She has endured more than any dog ever should.
And yet, Carolina refuses to let her past define her.
Despite the pain, fear, and trauma she has experienced, she has remained remarkably sweet, gentle, and eager for affection. Her resilience is nothing short of extraordinary.
Today, Carolina is finally safe.
She is receiving the veterinary care she urgently needs, and every day brings her one step closer to healing. While her recovery will take time, she no longer has to face it alone.
Her story is a powerful reminder that even after unimaginable suffering, dogs still have an incredible capacity to trust, forgive, and love.
Now it's our turn to show Carolina the compassion she has always deserved.
Please keep Carolina in your thoughts as she continues her recovery. Your support helps provide the medical care, rehabilitation, and love that make stories like hers possible.
This is not the end of Carolina's story.
It's the beginning of her second chance. ❤️🐾
