Benny's Victory: From Distemper to a Bright Future

When Benny tested positive for distemper, his future became uncertain.

Benny was originally pulled from the shelter for an adopter who was willing to take on his medical needs and support his treatment. Even with the serious diagnosis, that commitment gave him a chance to fight.

After being pulled, Benny went into a quarantine medical facility, where he could safely recover under close monitoring and receive the intensive care distemper requires. The road was long, but Benny showed incredible resilience every step of the way.

Today, we’re thrilled to share some incredible news.

Benny has officially tested negative for distemper.

This milestone is a testament to the power of timely medical care, patience, and one very determined dog.

However, just as Benny reached the finish line of his recovery, his situation changed again. His original adopter is no longer able to move forward with him.

Now, after going from shelter to medical quarantine to recovery, Benny finds himself back with the rescue and urgently needing placement once more.

Benny is safe, healthy, and distemper-free... but he is still searching for the stable, committed home he was so close to having.

His journey is a reminder that even when a dog overcomes the hardest battles, they still need someone to stand by them at the end.
