Almo's Second Chance: From the Euthanasia List to a Bright Future

Some dogs are given every opportunity in life. Others have to fight for their chance to simply survive.

Almo is one of those fighters.

At just a few months old, Almo found himself on the euthanasia list because he was suffering from Puppy Strangles, a rare but non-communicable immune disease that affects young puppies. The condition caused severe swelling around his face and eyes, making him look much worse than he felt.

Sadly, because of his appearance and medical condition, Almo's future looked uncertain.

But we couldn't let that happen.

Behind the swollen face was a sweet, loving puppy who deserved a chance to grow up, heal, and experience the life every dog deserves. So we stepped in and gave Almo the opportunity to fight.

And fight he did.

Today, Almo has healed and is thriving. His playful personality shines through every day, proving that there was always a happy, healthy puppy beneath the condition that nearly cost him his life.

Now six months old, Almo is everything you could hope for in a companion.

He loves playing ball, enjoys spending time with people, and approaches life with enthusiasm and joy. Whether he's chasing a toy, making new friends, or soaking up affection, Almo is happiest when he's surrounded by those he loves.
